MIDTOWN — Police are on the lookout for a man they say slashed a bar patron during an argument at a pub near Grand Central on Saint Patrick’s Day, according to a report.

The victim, a 55-year-old man, was at Peter Dillon’s Pub at 145 E. 40th St. at about 4:30 p.m. on March 17 when he got into a verbal tiff with another man, police said.

The argument escalated and the attacker slashed the victim, cutting his neck before fleeing the bar, according to a police spokesman.

There were no details on what kind of weapon the attacker used, according to the police spokesman.

Emergency responders took the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to a report.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black and orange t-shirt with a long-sleeve shirt underneath, a scarf, and a book bag, according to a report.

An employee of Peter Dillon's declined to comment about the attack when reached by telephone.
