STATEN ISLAND — A woman was found dead inside her Great Kills bedroom early Sunday morning, police said.
Police found Valerie Travernite, 30, unconscious and unresponsive in her Abingdon Avenue bedroom at 1:39 a.m., the NYPD said. EMS workers pronounced Travernite dead at the scene, police said.
The medical examiner will determine her cause of death and police said an investigation is ongoing.
