If everything doughnuts, rainbow doughnuts, rainbow bagels, Lucky Charms pizza and all those other viral foods aren't setting your world on fire, get ready for the next one: the macaron donut.

The confection is about the size of the palm of your hand. The bottom is a strawberry-flavored dough base, with strawberry cream filling and topped with a macaron shell.

Francois Payard debuted this $5 confection at their five city locations on Sunday, March 20 to commemorate Macaron Day. A Payard spokesperson confirmed Monday that they sold out at 2 p.m. and may be available again this coming weekend. Chef Payard may develop more flavors if the public embraces this first pink rendition.

And so that you can more easily traipse all over the city eating macarons, here's a map from National Macaron Day on where else you can get that French cookie in the city.
