GREAT KILLS — Staten Island residents hoping to snag a municipal ID will have a second option next month.

The city will open a pop-up IDNYC enrollment center inside the Great Kills Library, at 56 Giffords Lane, starting on April 1, according to its website.

The center will be open Monday to Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pop-up location will stay at the Great Kills Library until April 22 and close on noon on its last day.

The borough currently only has one spot when people can enroll for the ID card, at the Staten Island Business Center in St. George. Residents who want the ID can make an appointment online or by calling 311.

In December, the city extended the deadline to apply for the municipal ID until the end of this year.

Card carriers get a year's free membership at various museums and zoos across the city, including the Staten Island Museum and the Staten Island Zoo.

They also qualify for discounted tickets and memberships of Citi Bike, the New York City Football Club, the New York Theatre Ballet and Ballet School, Animal Care Centers of New York, the Alliance of Resident Theatres and the Roundabout Theatre Company.

It can also be used to open a bank or credit union account and be linked to library cards, but it doesn't serve as form of ID for bars.
