Passing through Times Square, you might see Superman billboards and costumed Superman characters but miss the genuine article. This is the irony that "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Henry Cavill pokes fun at in his recent Instagram post.

In this video, the actor from "The Tudors," "Immortals," and "Man of Steel" poses next to "Batman v. Superman" billboards in the city’s busiest area while going completely unnoticed by passersby. In one shot, he stands directly in front of his headshot, clad in a T-shirt with the Superman logo on his chest, and smiles at the camera.

Yet fans of the actor shouldn’t be disappointed at his seeming anonymity. In the "Superman" movies, Clark Kent morphs from Kryptonian Daily Planet reporter to world-rescuer by (in addition to changing his outfit) donning glasses. These frames, apparently, make him unrecognizable, and Cavill’s Times Square excursion proves this to be the case.

“The glasses are good enough,” he writes on Instagram.

Dear Doubter, The glasses are good enough. Regards, Superman #WhoWillWin #Superman

If Cavill’s disguise worked on you, you can still catch him when "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in theaters Friday, March 25th.
