► Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry

Where: New Dorp Moravian Church Theatre, 2205 Richmond Rd., New Dorp
When: Friday and Saturday 8 p.m., Sunday 3 p.m.

The Sundog Theatre will host its final weekend of performances of a series of one-act plays, "Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry." The show includes five one-act, original plays that use the Ferry as their setting. Tickers are $20, $18 for seniors and students.

► Spring Staten Island Arts Conference

Where: Staten Island Museum, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Staten Island Arts will host a free professional development conference for artists, educators and organizations. The conference includes speakers who will discuss ethnography and artists living in the Stapleton Houses and more. The event also includes lunch. Attendees can RSVP online.

 Ukrainian Folk Art Pysanky Demonstration

Where: Staten Island Children's Museum, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Staten Island Children's Museum will host an event teaching kids the Ukrainian folk art of pysanky egg decorating. Kids can watch an artist create one of the traditional eggs then try it themselves.

100th Anniversary of the Irish State Celebration

Where: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Ave., Richmond Town
When: 2 p.m.

Staten Island OutLOUD will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Irish state at Historic Richmond Town's courthouse with a free event on the story of the 1916 Rising with Irish poetry, music, historic texts and more. The free event includes performances by Elizabeth McFadden, James Donlon, James Hill, Gary Moore, and special music by members of the Mighty String Demons.

Historic Tavern Concert: Irish Stout

Where: Historic Richmond Town's Guyon Tavern, 441 Clarke Ave., Richmond Town
When: 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Historic Richmond Town will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with an acoustic performance by Stout in the Guyon Tavern. The group will play Irish-American songs about drinking, rebels, immigrants and more. Tickets are $11 online, $13 at the door.

Sunday, March 20

Purim Carnival

Where: Jewish Community Center of Staten Island, 1466 Manor Road, Emerson Hill
When: 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The JCC will celebrate Purim with a carnival featuring arts and crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, shalach manot giveaways, hamantaschen baking and more. Tickets are $15 for members, $18 for non-members, adults are free.

"Yangsi" Documentary Screening

Where: Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, 338 Lighthouse Ave., Lighthouse Hill
When: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art will host a screening of the documentary "Yangsi" by Mark Elliott. The film tells the story of a young Tibetan boy thought to be the reincarnation of Buddhist master Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
