MANHATTAN — A group of four men attacked two men early Friday morning, assaulting them with bottles and punching them, according to police.

The victims, ages 26 and 23, were sent to Bellevue Hospital after the attack at 2:20 a.m. in the area of 119 E. 11th St. between Third and Fourth avenues, police said.

The attack, which left one victim with a broken orbital bone, broken jaw and laceration to the face, followed an argument, the NYPD said. Police are investigating what prompted the attack and if the men were patrons of any of the surrounding bars.

The block is home to nightclub and concert venue Webster Hall, which has been linked to altercations in the past, as well as the Village Pourhouse. Movie theater AMC Village 7 is also at 11th Street and Third Avenue.

Representatives at Webster Hall could not comment on the incident.

Police released photographs of the suspects and are asking for the public's help in identifying the perpetrators. They have not yet arrested anyone associated with the assault.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
