CROWN HEIGHTS — Franklin Avenue ramen fans, prepare to get souped up.

A new ramen shop is planning to open in Crown Heights soon, taking over a neighborhood storefront that’s seen two closings in the past 12 months.

The noodle spot, which is as yet unnamed but is owned by a company called “T&C Izakaya,” plans to open at 727 Franklin Ave., south of Park Place, according to an application for a beer and wine license at the location submitted to the local community board recently.

The shop would seat 47 people and operate seven days a week, from noon to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to midnight on weekends and noon to 10:30 p.m. on Sundays, the application said.

Brooklyn Community Board 8 approved the beer and wine application last week. Using the board’s input, the State Liquor Authority will make a final determination for the license before the restaurant can serve alcohol.

Two businesses have closed at the ramen shop’s planned location within the past year. Most recently, an Ecuadorian eatery Guayaco Food & Rollas gave it a go for several months with a menu of empanadas, cassava patties and ceviche. Before that, the bakery Lily and Fig operated for several years, closing last summer.

Several east Asian-inspired restaurants have opened recently on Franklin Avenue, including Bunsmith, a Korean bun shop and Domo Taco, an Asian-fusion Mexican spot. However, the “T&C Izakaya” eatery would be the avenue’s first ramen shop.
