JACKSON HEIGHTS — A 16-year-old boy and his pet dog were stabbed at a Northern Boulevard intersection Saturday by suspects asking if he was "down" with a local gang, police said.
An hour and a half later, a 23-year-old man was stabbed at the same spot — again by attackers asking about a gang, police said.
At 7:30 p.m., two men approached the 16-year-old as he was walking his dog near Northern Boulevard and 80th Street, police said.
They asked him, "Are you down with ABK [Always Banging Kings]?" which is a neighborhood gang.
The teen said he wasn't — and then he and his dog were both stabbed with an unknown object, according to police.
The boy was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in an unknown condition. It's not clear where the dog was taken for treatment.
At 9 p.m., the 23-year-old man was approached from behind and stabbed in the back by at least one man, police said.
In that incident, the suspect also made a statement about ABK.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
