► Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry 2016

Where: New Dorp Moravian Church Theatre, 2205 Richmond Rd., New Dorp
When: Friday and Saturday 8 p.m., Sunday 3 p.m.

The Sundog Theatre presents their annual series of one-act, original plays about the Staten Island Ferry. This year's performance includes "Lovin' The Boat" by Chip Bolcik, "The Losers" by Theo Gallagher, "Uncomfortable" by Michelle Giusto, "Lost and Found" by Helene Montagna, "Tourists" by Matt Morea and "The 5:30 Fairy" by Michael J. Veasey. Tickets are $20, $18 for seniors and students, and can be bought online.

New York City Compost Project "Choose the Right Bin for You" Demonstration

Where: Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The New York City Compost Project continues their series of lectures on getting started with composting with a discussion focused on bins. Admission is $5 and pre-registration is requested.

Staten Island Unlimited Opening

Where: Alice Austen House Museum, 2 Hylan Blvd., Rosebank
When: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Alice Austen House Museum will open their first juried exhibition focusing on photos of the borough, "Staten Island Unlimited," at a reception on Saturday. The exhibit features 35 photographers showing different scenes and people to celebrate Austen's 150th birthday. The day has a member preview from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by a public reception with beer provided by Brooklyn Brewery.

Youth Matters: Lincoln Center Boro-Linc Short Family Films

Where: Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 2 p.m.

Lincoln Center's CineKids program will host a free screening of award winning short films from around the world for children at Snug Harbor's Music Hall. The screening includes discussions on the films.

Artist Talk: Nancy Bonior, Peter Van Dyk and Andy Lenaghan

Where: Staten Island Museum, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Staten Island Museum will host a panel of artists, currently featured in their Staten Island SEEN exhibit, discussing their work and connection to the landscape. The panel includes Nancy Bonior, Peter Van Dyck and Andy Lenaghan. The talk is $15 and includes museum entrance and a glass of wine.

Gyno-Seen: Focus on Women Show Opening

Where: Art on the Terrace, 776 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Staten Island Creative Community will hold a free opening for their new show "Gyno-Seen: Focus on Women" on Saturday. The exhibit includes paintings, photographs and sculptures with women as subjects in celebration of Women's History Month.

Tavern Concert: Harbortown

Where: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clark Avenue, Richmond Town
When: 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Historic Richmond Town continues their acoustic performances inside their historic Guyon Tavern with two performances by Harbortown, featuring Bob Wright, singing songs about the borough and its harbor. Tickets are $11 online, $13 at the door.

Sunday, March 13

Sunset Dance Party

Where: Liedy's Shore Inn, 748 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 7 p.m.

DJ Kitty, voted as the best DJ in the borough, continues her monthly dance party spinning 60s music played only on vinyl at Liedy's Shore Inn, which also has a CD giveaway.
