FDNY Responds to Gas Leak in Airport Pipeline, Officials Say

BROOKLYN — There was a leak in a pipe that delivers fuel to Kennedy and LaGuardia airports Thursday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

The leak happened in the Buckeye Pipeline at Linden Boulevard and Junius Street in Brownsville at about 5:17 p.m.

No one was injured and no buildings were evacuated. Firefighters were able to contain the leak, a fire department spokesman said. 

There were no major flight delays reported at either airport.
