Stacy Grossfield Dance Projects: hot dark matter

Where: JACK, 505 Waverly Ave., Clinton Hill
When: Friday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.; Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday at 3 p.m.

Stacy Grossfield molds JACK’s theater into a murky, surreal dreamscape in "hot dark matter," a multi-sensory experience in which the audience’s sense of smell and touch are activated. In "hot dark matter," the choreographer and her dancers become apparitions in this full-length performance. Tickets are $15, by card in advance, or cash-only at the door. Radiolovefest

Where: BAM, 30 Lafayette Ave., Fort Greene
When: All weekend, various times

Be a part of RadioLoveFest, a multi-day festival featuring live tapings of shows like "Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me," "Death, Sex & Money" and "The Moth." The three-day radio festival hosted by BAM and WNYC will feature curated film screenings, live music and talks by notable radio hosts like A Prairie Home Companion’s Garrison Keillor.

Free Bicycle Helmets and Fitting with Citi Bike

Where: Red Hook Initiative, 767 Hicks St., Red Hook
When: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Head to RHI’s community event space to get a free bike helmet and learn more about Citi Bike, New York’s bike share program. All riders must be present at the event in order to receive a free helmet.

Opening Reception for “Redwood”

Where: Pioneer Works, 159 Pioneer St., Red Hook
When: Doors open at 7 p.m. Screening begins at 8 p.m.

Artist Molly Lowe will present her first feature film, “Redwood," in conjunction with her solo exhibition by the same name. This is also the first feature-length film commissioned by Pioneer Works, which has been working on the project with Lowe since 2014. The event is free.

► Jazz at the Inkwell

Where: The Inkwell Cafe, 408 Rogers Ave., Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
When: 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy a concert from vocalist Novella Nelson, percussionist Leopoldo Fleming (drummer for Nina Simone) and Austrian saxophonist Edith Lettner in a performance hosted by local art group PLG Arts. The show is free, with a $5 suggested donation.

Making Brooklyn Bloom

Where: Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 150 Eastern Parkway, Prospect Heights
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Get ready for spring gardening season with this free all-day workshop and seminar program at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Classes include “Fermenting Apple Cider,” “Demystifying Soil Contamination” and “Worms Make Great Roommates.” Put on your green thumb and go!

Baby DJ Trial Class

Where: Rough Trade Record Shop, 64 N. 9th St., Williamsburg
When: 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Think your baby has what it takes to be a DJ? This Saturday you can take your infant to a $30 trial class where they’ll be in for an educational dance party working on fine motor, social and language skills while playing with records and digital DJ equipment. If you and your baby like it, you can sign up for full semester courses that costs $200.

Women’s History at Weeksville

Where: Weeksville Heritage Center, 158 Buffalo Ave., Crown Heights
When: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Take a tour of the historic Hunterfly Road Houses at the Weeksville Heritage Center or borrow a book from “The Free Black Women’s Library,” a mobile book lending station that’s coming to the historic center for Weeksville’s Women’s History Month celebration.

Diaspora Art Mart: Marching into Spring

Where: Restoration Plaza lobby, 1368 Fulton St., Bed-Stuy
When: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Freshen up your Spring wardrobe with handmade wares and clothing from the Diaspora Art Mart. The vendor sale features everything from home decor to body care and jewelry. Visitors can also grab snacks and enjoy music and reflexology.

Brooklyn Free Space Kids Stuff Swap

Where: Brooklyn Free Space, 298 Sixth Ave., Park Slope
When: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring gently used kids clothing and toys and trade them for bigger sizes at the Brooklyn Free Space Kids’ Stuff Swap.

Spring Spectacular Figure Skating Show

Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
When: 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Cool off with a last taste of winter at this spring ice skating show, where solo skaters, pairs and groups will strut their stuff on the ice. Admission is free.

A Concert with the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra

Where: Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims, 75 Hicks St., Brooklyn Heights
When: 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Violinist Alice Ivy-Pemberton will join the community orchestra for the evening of classical music. Tickets are priced at $12 to $18.

“One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” at Gallery Players

Where: 199 14th St., Park Slope
When: 8 p.m.

Tickets are $15 to $18 for this stage production of the Ken Kesey novel at Gallery Players, the off-off Broadway venue that’s been bringing theater to Park Slope since 1967.

Sunday, March 13

Wedding Crashers Spring Fair 2016

Where: The Green Building, 452 Union St., Gowanus
When: 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you’re in the middle of planning your dream Brooklyn wedding, this fair is for you. Wedding Crashers will feature a host of vendors, caterers and decorators to help make your wedding day perfect. There will be food samples and bubbly to sip on. Tickets purchased in advance are priced between $25 to $35.

The Second Century Reading Series

Where: Akwaaba Mansion, 347 MacDonough St., Bed-Stuy
When: 3 p.m.

New Brooklyn Theatre hosts a monthly reading series of works from African-American women playwrights. This session focuses on Christina Anderson’s “Man in Love,” set during the Great Depression. In the tale, a group that manages “to find love and a good time” is involved in a sharp turn of events when dead bodies are discovered in the neighborhood. Tickets to the performance are free and can be found online here.
