CYPRESS HILLS — A man was stabbed three times at the Crescent Street station on the J and Z lines just before the evening commute Wednesday, an NYPD spokesman said.

The man was rushed by a group of between eight and 10 teenage boys, all between the ages of 16 to 18, just before 4:23 p.m., according to NYPD and FDNY. The suspects fled the scene.

The victim, 22, is in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, police officials said.

No arrests have yet been made, according to NYPD, and there was no information immediately available about why the man was the target of the attack.

J and Z trains were not running Wednesday afternoon between Crescent Street and Broadway Junction because of the incident, a spokesman for MTA said.
