JACKSON HEIGHTS — Fire officials are still investigating the cause of a two-alarm blaze that burned a clothing store on Roosevelt Avenue Monday night.

The fire broke out at around 8:50 p.m. at X-Ist Jeans at 84-19 Roosevelt Ave., according to the FDNY.

It spread to a second alarm just after 9 p.m., and was under control at 9:47 p.m.

Officials are still investigating what sparked the fire, which started after the store was closed. There were no injuries.

Three stores surrounding the clothing shop were closed Tuesday due to smoke and water damage, but the fire didn't spread, according to the FDNY.

Owners of the store and the property could not immediately be reached for comment.

Andy Hong, who owns Optima Beauty Supply two doors down from the fire, said his shop had severe smoke damage but he expected to reopen Wednesday.

"[Firefighters] broke down the door to make sure it didn't spread," he said.
