BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Upcoming screening events in Brooklyn can help connect job-seekers to future employers.

Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is teaming up with the city’s Workforce1, local organizations, and elected officials to host job fairs at two sites in Bed-Stuy and Brownsville.

The community development nonprofit provides residents with resources ranging from economic and health services, to arts and cultural events.

Various employers are searching for applicants for positions in the food, retail and security industries, according to BSRC.

Work is also available for ramp agents, baggage handlers and commercial drivers at John F. Kennedy International Airport, said Jako Borren, director of program operations at BSRC.

BSRC and Workforce1 staff will be on hand during the one-on-one screening events to connect applicants to job-readiness workshops and financial resources.

Participants are asked to bring photo ID, a copy of their Social Security card, three copies of their resume and to dress professionally.

BSRC will host four hiring events in March at Restoration Plaza and the Brownsville Multi-Service Center. For more information, call 718-636-6994.
