Tilt Kids Festival
Where? Various venues across the city including French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), 55 E. 59th St., Midtown, Albertine Books, 972 Fifth Ave. at 79th Street, Upper East Side, BAM Fisher, 321 Ashland Pl., Fort Greene, The Invisible Dog Art Center, 51 Bergen St. between Smith and Court Street in Boerum Hill and the Museum of Food and Drink at 62 Bayard St. between Lorimer Street and Leonard Street, Williamsburg. 
When? Tilt Kids Festival is running through to April 3. 
How Much? Many of the events are free. Check out all the listings here.
This inaugural Tilt Kids Festival is an ambitious month-long celebration of philosophy, music, magic, design, dance, and gastronomy created by The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF). Festival highlights include the world premiere of "The Total People" from the New York theater company 600 Highwaymen; the US premieres of "Cabaret de Magie Nouvelle" from Parisian new magic artists Cie 14:20 and "Carnival of the Animals" from Australian circus-theater group Circa.  

New York International Children's Film Festival - Short Films
Where? SVA Theatre, 333 W. 23rd St., Chelsea
When? 10:30 a.m.
How Much? $13. 
Catch the Festival’s curation of the “best, most original, most profound, silliest, spookiest, and most beautiful” short films from around the world. 

Family Films: Figuring Out Feelings
Where? The Museum of Modern Art, The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building,  Bartos Theater 3, 4 W. 54th St. near Fifth Avenue, Midtown
When? 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
How Much? Admission is free; no pre-registration. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunday, March 6
Leonardo da Vinci’s Workshop Unlocked
Where? 92Y, Warburg Lounge, Lexington Avenue at 92nd St., Upper East Side
When? 11 a.m.
How Much? Free
92Y is celebrating the visionary Renaissance inventor and artist Leonardo da Vinci with an interactive exhibit for kids and families. Design, create, build and experiment at six different, hands-on activity stations. The event is part of the 7 Days of Genius festival.

DIY Terrarium
Where? Brooklyn Botanic Garden Shop, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, 150 Eastern Parkway, Prospect Heights
When? 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
How Much? Free with garden admission, which is $12 adults, $6 for seniors and students and free for children under 12.
Create your own tiny living world with the guidance of Brooklyn Botanic Garden Shop staff. 

"Flavor: Making It and Faking It"
Where? Museum of Food and Drink, 62 Bayard St., Williamsburg
When? Buy tickets for one of the three windows for entry on Sunday: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
How Much? Adults $10, youth (5-17) $5, kids under 5, free. 
"Flavor: Making It and Faking It" is the debut exhibition of the Museum of Food and Drink, New York City’s first food museum with exhibits you can eat! The exhibition is described on their website as, “a tasting and smelling adventure that provokes the senses, reveals a critically important part of the food industry, and raises questions about what "natural" and "artificial" really mean.”
