Mighty Quinn’s has opened its seventh location, debuting its new “Spoon Bread” side, which is a combination of corn bread, herbs, bacon, sausage and “other secrets.” Expect to get the same Mighty Quinn’s experience — including its “Brontosaurus Rib,” its barbecue chicken, baked beans and sweet potato casserole.

Gorge on tasty Algerian and Moroccan fare at Bar Omar, with dishes like couscous royal to lamb with prunes and almonds. Meals are served alongside zesty cocktails as well as a selection of wine and craft beer selection. The French owner who has Algerian heritage grew up in her father’s restaurant in Paris. The new Grand Street location is an off-shoot of that establishment.

Restaurateurs Harris Salat and Tadashi Ono announced the opening of Sushi Ganso this week. It's their third installment in the Ganso restaurant series, which also includes Ganso and Ganso Yaki. This new spot on 30th Avenue and 42nd Street serves up Japanese-style crepes, which are stuffed with sweet or savory fillings and rolled up into a cone shape, according to local blog We Heart Astoria, which sampled their wares. The eatery also serves bubble teas and sides like sweet potato fries and popcorn chicken.
