QUEENS — Due to popular demand, a second show was added for Paul Simon's concert at the Forest Hills Stadium this summer, the organizers said.
Simon, who attended Forest Hills High School, where he met Art Garfunkel, and played at the stadium several times in the past, announced earlier this week that he will return to sing at the historic venue nearly half a century after his last performance there.
In addition to his first show, scheduled for June 30, Simon will also play at the stadium on July 1, the organizers said.

Simon will release his new album “Stranger to Stranger” this spring and kick off a tour across North America in April, which will end with the Forest Hills concerts.
Concert organizers are still working on this year's lineup, but earlier this month they revealed that Mumford and Sons will play at the Forest Hills stadium on June 16 and 17 and British electronic music group Disclosure will bring its "Wild Life Festival" to the neighborhood on June 18.
Tickets for both Paul Simon's concerts will range from $54.50 to $515. They will be available beginning Saturday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. and can be purchased here. Doors will open at 6 p.m., shows start at 7:30 p.m.
