QUEENS — Mumford & Sons added a second night at the Forest Hills Stadium this summer after tickets for their first show sold out within hours, the band announced Thursday.

“New York, we've added a second show at @ForestHillsStdm due to demand!,” the group tweeted.

The British rock band said Monday it would return to the historic stadium on June 16, with soul singer Raury opening.

But tickets for the show, which went on sale Thursday, at 10 a.m., were sold out within a couple of hours, the organizers said.

Later that day, the group announced it will play its second concert in Forest Hills on June 17 with indie pop artist BØRNS as the opening act.

Mumford & Sons was the first group to play at the historic venue in August 2013 after years of inactivity. The stadium, which can accommodate about 13,000 fans, has since undergone a major facelift.

Tickets for this year's second show, which are currently on sale, cost $70 and can be purchased here.
