Dr. Seuss's Birthday Celebration Story Time

Where: Barnes & Noble, 33 E. 17th St., Union Square
When: 11 a.m.

Celebrate the great author’s birthday with story time and fun activities including “pin the tail on Horton” and a chance to decorate your own Cat in the Hat.

► Let’s Talk Schools 2nd Annual Summer Camp Fair

Where: St. Martin’s Episcopal Church 230 Lenox Ave. and 122nd Street, Central Harlem
When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Summer camp registration season has arrived, and Let’s Talk Schools is hosting the “premier” fair for families unsure about what program will be a good fit for their child. Families can learn more about each camp’s program, safety procedures, enrollment options and how specific camps handle special needs. Participating camps include, Ascension School Bank, Street Summer Camp, Breakaway Hoops Camp, Harlem School of the Arts, Harlem YMCA, TaDa Youth Theater and many more.

► Let’s Talk Schools Second Annual Summer Camp Fair

Where:  St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 230 Lenox Ave., Central Harlem
When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Check out dozens of summer camps geared towards pre-K through high school age kids at this free fair.

Winter Wonderland

Where: P.S./I.S. 180, 370 W. 120th St., Upper West Side
When: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Kids and families can enjoy music, games, crafts, food and live performances, as well as prizes and raffles that benefit the school. For more information contact the PTA at pta180@gmail.com.

► Theater Japan / Noh and Kyogen

Where: Asia Society, 725 Park Ave., Upper East Side
When: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Master performers of the Noh and Kyogen dances will demonstrate the essentials of dance and explain the traditions of the stage, the music, the costumes and props in Japanese with English translation. The event is a precursor to “Grand Japan Theater” taking place at Carnegie Hall on March 1. $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers of the Asia Society.

► Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Black Tie Casino Night

Where: Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers, 23rd Street and West Side Highway, Chelsea
When: 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City is hosting a black tie casino night event to benefit mentoring programs in the city. The evening will include a poker tournament, a silent option, an open bar and food and dancing DJ’d by Z100 MC Skeery Jones.

► E’s Bar Oscar Party

Where: E's Bar, 511 Amsterdam Ave., between 84th and 85th streets, Upper West Side
When: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Enjoy music from a live DJ or fill out an Oscar ballot game while eating, drinking and watching the Oscars at E’s Bar. The Oscars start at 6 p.m.

► Music on Madison: Scott McIntosh and Andrew Henderson

Where: Madison Avenue Presbyterian, 921 Madison Ave. at East 73rd St., Upper East Side
When: 3 p.m.

Trumpet player Scott McIntosh and organist Andrew Henderson, who frequently collaborate, will perform arrangements from Handel, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, Holst, Villa-Lobos and Poulenc. Suggested donation is $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.

► MOMS NIGHT OUT

Where: 1 Margaret Corbin Drive, Fort Tryon Park, Washington Heights
When:  6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The popular event is back and this time with more prizes. Catch up with local friends, eat, drink and network. Participants can win free yoga classes from Hudson Pilates, Bread & Yoga and MindBodySoul Yoga.  

► Intergalactic Nemesis: Live Action Graphic Novel

Where: Schimmel Center at Pace University, 3 Spruce St., Downtown
When: 7:30 p.m.

Using actors and musicians, the cast of this play tells an all-ages adventure story set in the 1930s, The Intergalactic Nemesis, mashing up comic-book and radio-play formats into a unique theatrical experience. Tickets are $39.

► The Oscars Viewing Dinner Party Drag Show

Where: KTCHN Restaurant, 508 W. 42nd St., Midtown
When: 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

KTCHN Restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen is holding an Oscars viewing party, hosted by drag performers Sheila Noxema and Harmonica Sunbeam. The viewing party will include a three-course prix-fixe dinner for $29.95, and guests will be able to order Oscar-themed cocktails like The DiCaprio, The Martian and The Mad Max.
