THE BRONX — Two Bronx men were arrested Thursday after throwing what appeared to be scalding hot water on a 50-year-old man’s face Sunday night, according to the NYPD.

Franklyn Rosario, 19, and Damien Arias, 18, were arrested after they beat up and poured the liquid onto a Marble Hill man while he was walking on West Kingsbridge Road on Feb. 21, police said.

The victim suffered second-degree burns and was treated at Jacobi Hospital.

A third suspect was still at large Thursday evening.

Police initially investigated the incident as a potential bias attack, but the men have not yet been charged with a hate crime.

Rosario and Arias both live at on East 193rd Street, near where the assault happened, police said.
