MARINERS HARBOR — Police arrested a man accused of raping a 44-year-old woman inside a Staten Island office building.

Maurice Scott, 28, was arrested on Tuesday for the attack, a day after police released his name and photo in connection with the incident, the NYPD said.

Scott allegedly walked into an office building on Forest Avenue in Mariners Harbor at about 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 and raped the woman, police said.

He also took her jewelry, Samsung cellphone and cash before fleeing, police said.

The victim was treated at Richmond University Medical Center, police said.

Police charged Scott with rape, robbery and criminal sex act.

Police could not confirm if Scott had any prior arrests, but the Staten Island Advance reported he was previously picked up for assault and robbery charges.
