CLAREMONT — A Bronx man was slashed in the head on Valentine's Day after getting in a fight with a man who cut in front of him at a food truck, police said.

The attack took place around 2 a.m. on Feb. 14 by Jerome Avenue and East 174th Street, where the 24-year-old victim was waiting in line to buy some food from a truck, according to the NYPD.

The suspect cut the food truck's line, sparking an argument that led him to take out an unknown object and slashing his victim in the head before fleeing, police said.

The victim went to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

Officers described the suspect as a slim man between 25 and 30 years old who stands between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. Video shows him dressed in a black hat and red sweatshirt.
