MANHATTAN — A man was slashed across the face by an assailant in a ski mask after cutting a line during a fashion release in SoHo Thursday afternoon, police and sources said.

The 21-year-old victim had just purchased a pair of shoes during a fashion release for Supreme and was standing in front of the store on Prince Street at about 2 p.m. when he was attacked by another man he had cut in line, an NYPD spokesman and sources said.

“He had a giant mark on his face, from the top of his right cheekbone to his mouth,” said Edward King 22, a streetwear blogger and podcast host who was taking photos of the line outside Supreme when it happened, "It seemed like he was in pain, he was grabbing his face and all.”

The slasher then fled on foot and the man was rushed to New York Downtown Hospital.

The victim was expected to survive, officials said.

Le-Nell Richards was waiting in line with friend for the opening when he said the victim ran up to them.

"We saw a lot of blood rushing down his face and we were like, 'Yo, what happened to you, son?'" Richards said. "[The victim] was just standing there on the corner for a minute just holding his face with blood dripping."

The incident was the latest in a series of slashings and stabbings in the city this year.

Another man was sliced in the face at the Silver Spurs restaurant in Greenwich Village Wednesday night.

A man was also stabbed on the Upper West Side around 5:05 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Supreme was releasing its spring and summer collection Thursday, according to their website

"I didn’t expected to see some poor kid get cut in the face today," said King, "it’s crazy, and it’s very unfortunate.”
