CROWN HEIGHTS — The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo is ringing in the Lunar New Year — the year of the monkey — by debuting a new species of primates at its Hall of Animals.

The new male and female pair of titi monkeys, which are native to Bolivia, will share a habitat with a couple of white-faced saki monkeys, another South American species.

The titi monkeys are tree-dwellers, with a diet that consists of fruit leaves and insects.

They are also insatiably cute, according to the zoo, which says the stuffed-toy-resembling monkeys entwine their tails when they sleep or gather food together.

Marmosets, tamarins and baboons will also be on display in the zoo’s collection.

Lunar New Year activities will take place at the Prospect Park Zoo on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27 and Feb. 28.
