GRAMERCY — Talk about a rude awakening.

A Gramercy woman awoke early on Saturday morning to find a stranger snoozing on her couch, according to a police report.

The victim, 63, woke up at 5 a.m. to find a 25-year-old man slumbering in the living room of her apartment on East 21st Street between Lexington and Third avenues.

The woman called police, who scooped up the errant napper and charged him with trespassing, police said.

Police issued the man a desk-appearance ticket, and he is due back in court at a later date to face the charge. Information on his court date was not immediately available.

There was no evidence of forced entry, according to a police spokesman.
