Fire Rips Through Crown Heights Apartment Building Tuesday, FDNY Says

CROWN HEIGHTS — An apartment building was badly damaged after a fire Tuesday afternoon, according to the FDNY and witnesses.

The blaze broke out in the three-story building at 1481 Sterling Place near Rochester Avenue a little after 3 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

There were two civilians and two firefighters who suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The cause of fire was under investigation.
