If you have to work: our sympathies. The weather and traffic aren't going to make usual Monday morning horrors any easier on you today.
WEATHER: After record low temperatures over the weekend, we'll have a mild improvement this morning, if you can call it that. Expect a "real feel temperature" of 12 degrees in the morning, which will rise to hit a high of 37 degrees (and "real feel" of 31 degrees).
Snow's expected to start at 8 a.m. A winter weather advisory has been issued for between 1 p.m. today to midnight tonight, due to expected accumulation of 1 inch of snow and a glaze of ice, which will make for hazardous travel conditions. There may be freezing rain later today, which will turn into regular old rain later tonight.
TRAVEL: There's planned work for several subway lines this morning:
— Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains skip 111, 103, 90 and 82 Streets.
— No J trains between Hewes St. and Broad St.
— No M trains between Myrtle Av. and Essex St.
— Coney Island-bound F trains run via the E from Roosevelt Av to W 4 St.
— D Trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av. and 36 St., Brooklyn.
— Euclid Av-bound C trains skip 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81, 72, 50, 23 and Spring Sts
— On Staten Island there are no trains between Clifton and St. George.
— No 3 trains between 96 St. and 148 St.
— E. 180 St-bound 2 trains run express from 241 St. to E 180 St.
— N trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 59 St, Brooklyn.
— Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains skip 51, 68, 77, 96, 103, 110 and 116 Streets.
— 5 trains run every 20 minutes between Dyre Av and Bowling Green
And then there's the usual delays:
— Due to a broken rail at 65 St, some southbound R trains are running express from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to Queens Plaza.
— Due to signal problems at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, northbound 2 and 3 trains are running with delays.
