YORKVILLE — Police have identified the man they say sexually assaulted and robbed a woman on Second Avenue over the weekend but were still searching for him Wednesday.

Gregory Anderson, 32, is accused of throwing a 36-year-old woman to the ground near East 94th Street at about 5 a.m., sexually assaulting her and robbing her of $40 in cash, according to the NYPD.

He told the victim that he wouldn't hurt her if she gave him money but then sexually assaulted her, police said.

Anderson, who was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, was caught on video surveillance at a nearby grocery store looking for the victim after she ran away, police said.
