BROOKLYN — A 50-year-old woman died Friday after being hit by a school bus that mounted the curb on Atlantic Avenue, police said.

The victim was on the sidewalk at Atlantic and Schenectady avenues on the border of Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 when the bus struck her, according to officials.

The school bus had been traveling east on Atlantic Avenue when another vehicle cut it off, police said. No passengers were onboard.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to nearby Interfaith Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification, police said.

No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing, according to officials.
