City Stitchers Pt. 3: Free Fiber Arts Fun Circle at City Reliquary

Where: The City Reliquary, 370 Metropolitan Ave., Williamsburg
When: 6:30 p.m.

Join other area fiber arts fanatics for a friendly crocheting, needle pointing and embroidering meet up. The fiber arts circle is not a class, but beginners should feel free to join in. They'll be offered helpful tips from more seasoned stitchers.

Staged Reading of 'Til Death Do Us Part'

Where: Gallery Players, 199 14th St., Park Slope
When: 7 p.m.

Gallery Players’ Overtures series presents staged readings of six new musicals. “Til Death Do Us Part,” by Bobby Cronin and Caroline Prugh, “explores gender roles in the church” with “a contemporary, gospel-influenced score,” according to the Gallery Players website.

Monday Night Tribute: Stevie Wonder

Where: C’mon Everybody, 325 Franklin Ave., Bed-Stuy
When: Doors open at 7:30 p.m., show begins at 8 p.m.

Celebrate music legend Stevie Wonder with a full house band, DJ sets, and dozens of performers playing his greatest hits. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Speed Dating at LeGrande in the Time Hotel

Where: The Time Hotel, 224 W. 49th St., Times Square 
When: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Get a jump start on Valentine’s Day with a speed dating event at the LeGrande lounge at Time Hotel in Midtown. The event planners “don’t find anything romantic about whistles, name-tags or over-the-top party trimmings typically found at singles events,” so they have “done away with them,” according to their listing. Ages 25 to 39 are welcome to attend and tickets are $38.

Maritime Mardi Gras Fundraiser: Celebrate Lilac

Where: 79 Walker St., Tribeca
When: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A silent auction will be held to celebrate Fat Tuesday and to raise money for the historic steamship Lilac, now a museum ship docked at Pier 25 that was once a U.S. Coast Guard vessel, built in 1933, to carry supplies to lighthouses. Cocktails and appetizers will be served.

Lecture: The Stories of the Suitcases

Where: NYPL Roosevelt Island Branch, 524 Main St., Roosevelt Island 
When: 6:30 p.m.

After the Willard Psychiatric Center closed in 1995, an employee found a huge collection of suitcases in an attic containing the personal belongings of patients who lived at the facility from 1910 to 1960. View images of the suitcases and their effects in a lecture by Jon Crispin of the New York State Museum.

Queens Library Presents Susan Choi and Cecily Wong

Acclaimed writers Susan Choi and Cecily Wong will discuss their works and the experiences that led them to their writing careers. Arrive at 6 p.m. if you want to order food and drinks from the restaurant. Proceeds from the event will benefit Queens Library programs. Tickets are $10.

I Will Always Love You: A Whitney Houston Tribute Show

Where: Cafe Wha?, 115 MacDougal St., Greenwich Village
When: 7:30 p.m.

Alice Tan Ridley and Ayanna Irish first connected in 2008 when Ridley, now 63, was busking in a subway station, singing Whitney Houston songs, and Irish joined in on a spontaneous duet of “I Will Always Love You.” A video of the performance went viral, and Ridley went on to become a 2010 finalist on "America’s Got Talent." The pair are reuniting again on Thursday with a full band to pay tribute to Houston four years after the icon’s death. Tickets are $20, and available online.

Beer Trivia Night (Yes, That’s Trivia About Beer)

Where: Glorietta Baldy, 502 Franklin Ave., Clinton Hill
When: 8 p.m.

Attention beer nerds, this is your time to shine. Come on over to Beer Trivia, hosted by Strong Rope Brewery and Think Olio. The event will include “four rousing rounds of brain-busting competition,” organizers said.

Book Launch: 'Men With Cats: Intimate Portraits of Feline Friendship'
