Sometimes we find a moment of grace in the hustle of our commute — even on the L train.

While the L train has been mired in bad news with its potential multi-year closure that could devastate transit options for Brooklyn residents, a YouTube video uploaded this morning shows a cellist gracing commuters with a refreshingly adept rendition of Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1.

The long-haired musician plays the cello with focus and passion through the cacophony of the careening train, earning a smattering of applause at the end — a rare gesture of gratitude from ornery New Yorkers.
