WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Two men were slashed, stabbed and beaten by a group of five people after leaving a violence-prone local nightclub over the weekend, police said.

The victims, 19 and 20, were leaving Mia Sushi and Steakhouse at 1506 St. Nicholas Ave. at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, when they were assaulted at the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue and West 188th Street by five individuals, the NYPD said.

The 19-year-old was slashed on the face and cut on the back of the head before being taken to Lincoln Hospital, police said. The 20-year-old was stabbed on the lower back and left hip before being taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, police said.

Police did not have information on the conditions of the victims, but the Manhattan District Attorney's office said one of them underwent surgery.

Frederick Delacruz, 26, of The Bronx, was arrested for the attack while the four other suspects were still at large, police said.

Delacruz, who punched and kicked one of the victims, was charged with assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, gang assault and assault to cause physical injury with a weapon, the DA said.

He was being held on $35,000 bond or $10,000 cash bail, with his next court appearance set for Friday.

His attorney declined to comment on the case.

Mia has a history of underage drinking and fights, including an incident when a man was shot and another was beaten after a fight broke out inside the space last March.
