When: 8 to 11 p.m.

Check out a night of burlesque at Bed-Stuy entertainment venue, C’mon Everybody. The free show features The Maine Attraction, Angie Pontani, Ekaterina and more.

Discovery Walks for Families: Art in Winter

Where: Central Park at the information kiosk, E. 72nd St., Upper East Side
When: 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Discover some secrets of Central Park’s most iconic sculptures during an exploration led by Central Park Conservancy educators and guides. For families with kids 5 and older.

► "Greensboro: Closer to the Truth" Film Screening and Discussion with Filmmaker Adam Zucker

Where: Central Queens Y, 67-09 108th St., Forest Hills
When: 1 p.m.

Film director Adam Zucker presents his documentary on an infamous trial related to the murder of five union organizers, who were killed during a rally by members of the Ku Klux Klan and the American Nazi Party in North Carolina in 1979. Despite extensive television footage, no one was convicted. Nearly 30 years later, a commission was established to uncover what happened. Suggested donation is $8.

LEGO Skyline and Architecture Studio Build

Where: Barnes & Noble, East 86th Street, Upper East Side
When: 2 p.m.

Help Barnes & Noble build its new LEGO Skyline in-store display and then build with Architecture Studio bricks afterward. For adults and teens ages 14 and older.

Tuesday, Jan. 19

Screening of “A Place at the Table”

Where: Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St., Brooklyn Heights
When: 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Director Lori Silverbush will screen and discuss her documentary “A Place at the Table,” a film about how hunger poses a serious economic and social threat to the United States.

Queens Library Presents “The Diversity of Romance.”

Where: Manducatis Rustica, 46-35 Vernon Blvd., Long Island City
When: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Join the Queens Library for this special event and local eatery Manducatis Rustica where three romance authors will talk about their work and the diversity of the genre. Tickets are $10 and will go to benefit library programming.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

The Audacity of Hoop: Examining President Obama Through the Lens of Basketball

Where: Barnes and Noble, 2289 Broadway, Upper West Side
When: 7 p.m.

Sports writer Alexander Wolff looks at President Obama as a president and as a person through the lens of basketball in his new book "The Audacity of Hoop: Basketball and the Age of Obama." The author will discuss the book and answer questions.

Chili Cookoff

Where: The Diamond, 49 Franklin St., Greenpoint 
When: 7:30 p.m.

Slug down a few while you sample the variety of chili assembled at The Diamond’s chili cookoff.

CSA Smackdown Cooking Competition

Where: The Bell House, 168 Seventh St., Gowanus
When: 7 p.m.

Tickets are $25 to this cook-off where contestants will have just 30 minutes to prepare delicious, locally grown food using a “mystery box” of vegetables.

Out to See Festival presents “Airheads”

Where: 192 Fulton St., Financial District 
When: 8 to 10 p.m.

The seaport arts festival is hosting a movie night, featuring "Airheads," a cult favorite comedy about musicians (Brendan Frasier, Adam Sandler) who take a radio station hostage to get their music on the air.

Thursday, Jan. 21

7th Precinct Blood Drive

Where: 7th Precinct stationhouse first floor muster room, 19 ½ Pitt St., Little Italy 
When: Noon to 6 p.m.

Those who wish to donate blood can swing by the 7th Precinct, which will be hosting a blood drive with the New York Blood Center. Donors are asked to bring a photo or signature ID and to make an appointment, although walk-ins will also be welcome. NYPL Film Screening: “It’s In The Bag”

Where: 96th St. Library, 112 E. 96th St., Upper East Side
When: 2 p.m.

Starring Fred Allen and Jack Benny among others, “It’s in the Bag” features an owner of a flea circus seeking a hidden legacy in one of five chairs that he sold to a variety of different people. Free admission.
