ELTINGVILLE — A 62-year-old woman died after she crashed her car into a fire hydrant near her home and flipped over early Friday morning, police said.

Florence Bucholtz was driving alone in her 2015 Kia Optima on Amboy Road at about 3:59 a.m. when she lost control and crashed into the hydrant near the intersection of Amber Street, causing her car to roll over, a spokeswoman for the NYPD said.
