► Intergenerational Theater Workshop

Where: 297 Wilson Ave., Bushwick
When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

If you’re between 13 and 19 years old or 65 years or older you’re invited to participate in a free theater workshop that will explore biography and storytelling. Participants have to commit to go both days and lunch is provided.

2016 Zlatne Uste Golden Festival

Where: Grand Prospect Hall, 263 Prospect Ave., South Slope
When: Friday, Jan. 15, doors open at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 16, doors open at 5:30 p.m.

If Balkan music is your jam, there’s be no place better than the Grand Prospect Hall this weekend. More than 60 bands will be playing Balkan beats and doing dance performances on Friday and Saturday nights. Drinks, snacks and a traditional market will be featured at the event as well. Tickets are priced at $35 and $55.

The Spark (at The Landing at Industry City)

Where: The Landing @ Industry City, 220 36th St #2-A, Sunset Park
When: Friday Jan. 15 and Saturday Jan. 16, Doors at 7:30 p.m., show at 8 p.m.

See improv comedian Jon Bander, musicians Guiding Light and comedians Jacqueline Novak, Mike Brown and Rojo Perez at this evening of entertainment organized by Shannon Manning. The event is part of The Bell House and Union Hall’s residency at Industry City. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

‘Seaborne’ Cocktail Bar Grand Opening

Where: Van Brunt and Commerce streets, Red Hook
When: 5 p.m. onwards

Seaborne, a new Van Brunt Street cocktail bar, will finally open its doors on Friday. Plans for the bar were laid out last year by the late founder of Manhattan speakeasy ‘Milk & Honey,’ who died this past August. The bar will feature modern and traditional cocktails as well as frozen drinks.

New Exhibit Opening at happylucky no. 1

Where: 734 Nostrand Ave., Crown Heights
When: 7 p.m.

Come to a reception at Crown Heights’ newest gallery, happylucky no. 1, which is celebrating its second-ever exhibit, “Sediments of Erratic Impulse,” by artist Katerina Marcelja.

Emergency Bowie Farewell: Feeling Gloomy Says Goodbye

Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw St., Gowanus
When: 10 p.m.

This hastily arranged tribute to David Bowie by the folks from Feeling Gloomy will play “every acceptable Bowie dance song and more than a few unacceptable ones,” according to the Littlefield website. Attendees are invited to “dress to depress.”

“American Gangster” Screening at Zabka Cafe    

Where: Zabka, 616 Halsey St., Bed-Stuy
When: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Bed-Stuy Pop-Up Cinema comes to Zabka cafe for a showing of “American Gangster,” starring Denzel Washington. Grab a bite and a cup of coffee while you watch, tickets to enter are $5.

80s and 90s Dance Party    

Where: C’mon Everybody, 325 Franklin Ave., Bed-Stuy
When: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Show off your best Cabbage Patch and break out the spandex for this 80s and 90s-themed dance party at C’mon Everybody. DJs Sean McMahill and Mike Magnus bring the music, and tickets are $5.

Soul Inscribed Record Release Party

Where: BRIC Arts, 647 Fulton St., Fort Greene
When: 9:30 to 11:00 p.m.

New York-based four-piece band Soul Inscribed celebrates the release of their debut studio record with a party featuring special guests Y?, Tavi Fields and Eli Asher, with dancers Ken Fury and projections by Emre. DJ Rabbi Darkside will perform a special set to start of the show. The release party is free and open to the public.

Saturday, January 16

BKLYN House Mural Project Opening Reception

Where: BKLYN House, 9 Beaver St., Bushwick
When: 6 to 9 p.m

Check out the opening reception for BKLYN House, a boutique hotel where 11 different indoor murals were commissioned to represent a different Brooklyn neighborhood.

Scavenger Hunt Hike With Urban Park Rangers

Where: Fort Greene Park, Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park, Fort Greene
When: 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Children and teens can explore Fort Greene Park this Saturday for a photography scavenger hunt with the Urban Park Rangers. The group will meet inside the park’s visitor center at Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park at 1 p.m. The event is free and no RSVP is required.

The Backstreets 90s Throwback Party    

Where: Five Spot Soul Food, 459 Myrtle Avenue, Clinton Hill
When: 8 p.m.

It’s time to bring back those choker necklaces and slouchy plaid shirts. Five Spot Soul Food is hosting a 90s throwback party Saturday, with jams from your favorite childhood pop stars. Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door.

Found Sound Nation & Nomadique present: ‘A Living Together’

Where: Pioneer Works, 159 Pioneer St., Red Hook
When: Gallery opens at 5 p.m.; concert from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Pioneer Works will host a one-night-only concert and pop-up gallery exhibition curated by Nomadique and with performances from Black Sea Hotel, Jonah Parzen-Johnson, Alpenglow and Tenores de Aterue.  

E-Waste Recycling in Prospect Park

Where: Prospect Park West and Third Street, Park Slope
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Finally get rid of those old gadgets, cables and monitors at this e-waste recycling event hosted by the Lower East Side Ecology Center
