The rainbows in Dr. Zizmor's subway ads aren't brightening his retirement.

The 70-year-old dermatologist — famous for those kitschy posters advertising his services in subway cars since the early 1980s — recently retired, but his former landlord alleges that he still owes $56,613.66 in rent for his now shuttered Midtown office, The Real Deal reports

That's according to a summons filed by Jack Resnick & Son, the owner of more than five million square feet of commercial office space in Midtown and downtown Manhattan, with the New York supreme court Friday.

Zizmor could not be reached when The Real Deal sought comment from him Monday. The office in question is located at 133 East 58th Street.

The retired dermatologist has had terrible luck with New York City real estate. His Bronx mansion, on the market since 2012, reportedly went into contract for $3.075 million this month, its asking price plummeting from the original $4.3 million after a number of price cuts and relistings.

As for the good doctor's alleged back rent, we hope his studies of the Talmud provide sufficient distraction from the grating realities of New York City life.
