MIDTOWN — The Bronx man arrested for randomly slashing a woman in Chelsea Wednesday morning has been charged with striking another woman in the face with a plastic bag containing an “unknown blunt object” in November, the NYPD said.

It was the fourth attack on a woman tied to Kari Bazemore, 41.

The 43-year-old woman was walking north on Fifth Avenue between 55th and 56th streets Nov. 4 around 11:52 a.m. when Bazemore hit her in the face with the bag and fled the scene.

The woman suffered injuries to her head and face, according to police.

"We had video and put together the resemblance," Inspector John Hart, commanding officer of the Midtown North Precinct, told DNAinfo, without providing additional details.

Police arrested Bazemore on Thursday after someone recognized him outside St. Patrick's Cathedral from surveillance video that showed him slashing Amanda Lynn Morris, 24, outside 163 W. 23rd St. around 6:15 a.m. as she was on her way to work at Whole Foods on Wednesday.

Morris identified herself as the victim of Bazemore’s attack on Facebook, posting photos that showed the stitches she received after he slashed the left side of her face, leaving a cut extending from her nose to her chin.

Police said Bazemore was released a few days before the Chelsea attack after being charged for punching a 32-year-old woman in Greenwich Village on Dec. 30.

“It was a very overwhelming day for me,” the woman said when she spoke to DNAinfo on Thursday. “I relived a very terrifying time of my life.”

Bazemore is also suspected in an attack that occurred by the Clocktower building in Port Morris around 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day, police said.

Bronx resident Nicole Pagliaro, 28, said she believes Bazemore was the man who stopped her as she was walking, said “Don’t worry. I’m not going to hurt you,” before he slashed her face before running off.

Bazemore was expected to be charged with that attack soon, police said.

He has been charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the Nov. 4 incident, police said.

On Thursday, police said they had arrested Bazemore 32 times before, including for the Greenwich Village incident. Prosecutors had asked that he be held on $1,000 bail, but a judge released him without bail.

Sources said he gave police a fake name when he was arrested for the Chelsea slashing on Wednesday and had done so during previous arrests.
