PORT MORRIS — The man suspected of randomly slashing a woman across the face in Chelsea is expected to be charged for doing the same thing to a woman in The Bronx less than a week earlier, police said.

Officers are expected to arrest 41-year-old Kari Bazemore for attacking 28-year-old Nicole Pagliaro on New Year's Day after his psychological evaluation is completed, according to the NYPD.

It was unclear exactly when this arrest would take place.

Pagliaro was walking to the Clocktower building by Bruckner Boulevard in the South Bronx at roughly 9 p.m. on Jan. 1 when she was attacked, she said.

The suspect said he would not hurt her before slashing her face and running away, Pagliaro told DNAinfo New York.

Bazemore has 32 prior arrests and was arrested two days before Pagliaro's attack for punching a woman by West 12th Street and Sixth Avenue and was released without bail, prosecutors said.

He was then arrested again for slashing 24-year-old Amanda Lynn Morris across the face on Wednesday morning at 163 W. 23rd St.
