Queens Slasher Pledges to Target Second Woman After Attacking Wrong Girl

By  Murray Weiss and Aidan Gardiner | January 7, 2016 11:15am

QUEENS — The man who slashed a Chinese exchange student in Whitestone last month returned to her apartment building this week to leave a note saying he attacked the wrong person — but pledged to target another woman, sources said.

In a note he left there for the intended target on Monday, the suspect wrote, "Stop being a slut. You f---ed the wrong person," sources said.

Investigators believe the slasher is an associate of a man in jail who is embroiled in a contentious break-up with a woman and that he dispatched others to attack her, sources said.

On Dec. 16, the slasher wore a surgical mask and came up behind the 16-year-old student near 147th Street and 13th Avenue about 8:16 a.m., dragging a box cutter across her left cheek and throat, police said.

The girl, who at the time had only been in New York for eight months, was treated at Long Island Jewish Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect, who wore gray hoodie with a black hood and black stripes on the sleeves, fled the scene, police said.

Then, on Monday about 10 p.m., the suspect visited the victim's apartment building where his intended target also lives, sources said.

He and others threw eggs at a black 2014 Lincoln belonging to the intended target's mom and super-glued the windows shut before leaving, sources said.

Someone returned to the scene a short time later and left a note on the car. The note said he slashed the wrong woman, promised to attack the intended target, and included her name and a birthday greeting, sources said.

The note promised the girl would have "an entertaining year" and that she has too many boyfriends, sources said.

The note added that the message came from "the guy you should never f--k over," sources said.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.
