Winter has finally arrived, and New Yorkers are heated.
Strong winds and bone-chilling temperatures in the teens caused some consternation on Tuesday morning. While inclement conditions may have wiped away the feeling from our faces during the morning commute, the season didn't manage to remove our sense of humor:
A New York winter kills everything, even rainbows.

No matter how dramatic the temperature drop, though, it can't temper sports fans from making sports analogies.

...or "Game of Thrones" fans from referencing White Walkers.

Today's temperature squashed most optimism about a mild winter, but it did produce the hashtag "#TooColdTuesday."

Others rued taking December's warmer weather for granted.
Flashback a few weeks ago when I set out to buy thermals and got Häagen-Dazs instead...D'oh! 😩 #winter #nyc

Some tried to humanize the season...
#Winter just woke up like it hit the snooze button several times and is now late for work. #NYC #bundleup

One sign winter is here: hyperbole runs rampant.
Apparently all labor sectors have taken a hit.
It's SO COLD in NYC that the flashers outside of Port Authority are describing themselves to passers-by, rather than opening their coats.
