QUEENS — An off-duty FDNY emergency medical technician was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly hit his girlfriend so hard she fell to the ground, police said.

Alwain B. White, 46, assaulted his girlfriend about 11:45 p.m. in front of the Haven Motel on Woodhaven Boulevard, near 68th Avenue, in Rego Park, police said.

The woman suffered minor injuries, including redness, swelling and pain, but it was not clear whether she was taken to a hospital, police said.

White, who was charged with assault, had not been arraigned as of Thursday morning, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.

The FDNY did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
