Friday, Jan. 1

Afterhours New Year’s Day

Where: House of Yes, 2 Wyckoff Ave., Bushwick
When: Friday at 4 a.m. to Saturday at 2 a.m.

House of Yes’s New Years Eve party is sold out, but you can hang there starting at 4:00 a.m. till 2:00 a.m. in the morning the next day with music, massages, yoga classes, smoothies, morning cocktails and movies that start up after 7:00 p.m.

Pop-Up Tattoo Parlor

Where: Ode to Babel, 772 Dean St., Prospect Heights
When: 2 p.m.

Watch tattoo artists Ace Tatu and Kevin Wong work or get a tat yourself at this 21+ pop-up tattoo parlor event at Ode to Babel, a new bar and lifestyle shop off Washington Avenue in Prospect Heights.

Brownstone Jazz House Fish Fry Festival Concert Series

Where: Sankofa Aban Bed & Breakfast, 107 Macon St., Bed-Stuy
When: 9 p.m.

Listen to live salon jazz at this brownstone show, featuring an open mic after 11 p.m. Chow down at intermission with a traditional fish fry from the bed and breakfast. Tickets are $40.

Roots and Soul Brooklyn

Where: C’mon Everybody, 325 Franklin Ave., Bed-Stuy
When: 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Ring in the New Year a second time with a dance party of soul, Latin, Brazilian, Reggae, and house tunes at one of Bed-Stuy’s latest music venues. DJs Center and Obah will be mixing, along with Jimmy Lopez on percussion. Tickets are $10.

Saturday, Jan. 2

Story Time: Winter Wonderland

Where: Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton St., Fort Greene
When: 11 a.m.

Children’s story time season begins at Greenlight Bookstore with a few winter weather favorites just in time for the chillier days ahead. Staff members will read picture books like Ezra Jack Keats’ classic "The Snowy Day," Uri Shulavitz’s story "Snow" and local illustrator Christopher Silas Neal’s "Over and Under the Snow." After the readings, kids can do snowflake-related crafts. The event is recommended for ages 3 to 8.

Harlem Globetrotters 90th Anniversary World Tour

Where: Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Ave., Prospect Heights
When: 2 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 10 p.m.

The Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating their 90th anniversary with a world tour, and they’re bringing their basketball wizardry to the Barclays Center Saturday for two gravity-defying games. Tickets start at $15 and the event is open to all ages.

Target First Saturdays

Where: Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Prospect Heights
When: 5 to 11 p.m.

Get free admission to this monthly event, featuring documentary screenings, panel discussion and live music from female DJ collective DISCWOMAN and Afro-electronic performer Young Paris.

Sunday, Jan. 3

Early Morning Bird Walk

Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
When: 10 to 11 a.m.

Ring in the New Year by learning about Prospect Park’s winter birds on a peaceful nature walk hosted by the Brooklyn Bird Club. The free tour leaves from the Audubon Center on the East Drive near the Lincoln Road entrance.

Juice Shop Parent Meet-Up

Where: House of Juice, 642 Rogers Ave., Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
When: 12 to 2 p.m.

Relax and meet up with “like-minded” parents at this child-friendly mixer for those who want to try out the organic juices served at House of Juice, a new health food bar in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. No childcare needed, organizers said — kids are welcome to try out the juices, too!
