88-Year-Old Man Robbed at Knife Point of $63 in Bronx Apartment, Police Say

THE BRONX — Police are looking for a man who robbed an 88-year-old man at knife point in his apartment on Dec. 19.

The octogenarian was pushed into his apartment near Freeman Street and Intervale Avenue at 8:34 a.m. as he was returning from a nearby deli, police said. The suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money. He stole a glass vase with $60 in it and took $3 and a set of keys from the victim's person, according to the NYPD. 

The elderly man was not harmed, police said.

Images captured on surveillance video show the suspect in the lobby of the apartment building shortly before the robbery. He is wearing a red and gray North Face jacket.

Police said the robber is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds.
