New Yorkers like their Beatles songs plaintive.

The legendary British band added their 224 songs to nine streaming services, including Spotify, on Christmas Eve. The world rejoiced by playing tunes "Come Together," "Hey Jude" "Let It Be" and "Love Me Do" more than anything other tracks in the Beatles' catalog, according to data from Spotify.

Spotify also tracked which Beatles songs New Yorkers in particular had listened to on Christmas day. Here's the top ten that were streamed in the five boroughs:

1. "Come Together"
2. "Hey Jude"
3. "Here Comes The Sun"
4. "Let It Be"
5. "Blackbird"
6. "I Want To Hold Your Hand"
7. "Twist And Shout"
8. "In My Life"
9. "She Loves You"
10. "Help!"

Among the tracks New Yorkers played more than Spotify users around the world on Christmas were such melancholy numbers from the 1968 White Album and the 1965 album "Rubber Soul": "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "I'm Looking Through You," and "Norwegian Wood."

Below you'll find the top ten songs streamed via Spotify on Dec. 25 that were most distinctive to New York. Listen and cheer up, folks.
