"The Barber Of Seville"
Where? Metropolitan Opera House, 30 Lincoln Center Plaza, Upper West Side
When? Now hrough January 2, 2016
How Much? For each full-priced ticket ($25 and up) purchased to any performance from now through December 30, an audience member 18 or younger may attend for half price.
High spirits return for the holidays in the Met’s family-friendly, English-language, two-hour adaptation of one of opera’s most winning comedies. Bartlett Sher’s effervescent production of Rossini’s tuneful masterpiece stars the charming mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, revisiting her portrayal of Rosina, the girl who behaves perfectly — until anyone gets in her way. Antony Walker conducts.

    Entry is included with all-garden pass admission ($30)
  • 3 p.m. "Frozen in 3D," New York Hall of Science

GingerBread Lane
Where? New York Hall of Science, 47-01 111th St., Corona, Queens
When? Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
How Much? Adults $15, Kids 2-17 years, $12. 
Marvel at houses made entirely of edible gingerbread, royal icing and candy. The houses are drafted, designed, baked, planned, built and decorated by chef Jon Lovitch over the course of an entire year. GingerBread Lane has won the Guinness World Record for the largest gingerbread village for 2013 and 2014 and will compete for its third consecutive Guinness World Record this year.

Sunday, December 27
Christmas Lights Tour
Where? Dyker Heights
When? Every night in December except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Sunday’s tours depart from Union Square at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
How Much? Adults: $50, children under 12: $40
Over 100,000 people flock to Dyker Heights each Christmas to see some of the most extravagant light displays in the USA. The bus tour leaves from Union Square to explore the Italian-American area made famous in 2001 PBS documentary "Dyker Lights" and most recently on TLC's "Crazy Christmas Lights."

The Three Bears Holiday Bash
Where? Central Park Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre, 79th Street and West Drive in Central Park, Upper West Side. 
When? 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
How Much? $7 kids and $10 adults. 
The Three Bears Holiday Bash is a variety show that celebrates the holiday season in song, dance and puppetry.

Ride the Rails!
Where? New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West at Richard Gilder Way (77th Street), Upper West Side. 
When? From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
How Much? $20 adults, $6 kids. 
Celebrate the winter exhibition "Holiday Express" with classic train storybooks and craft activities. Go on a scavenger hunt for centuries-old objects, stay for story time, and create your very own train-themed souvenir.
