The Bronx is back on Saturday Night Live.
The show's final episode of 2015 featured another edition of its recurring "Bronx Beat" skit, the talk show hosted by Amy Poelher and Maya Rudolph playing Betty and Jodi, a pair of extremely, extremely anxious women from The Bronx.
The actresses opened this episode by lamenting the amount of bad news going on these days— namely ISIS—and griping about the country's obsession with "Star Wars"—namely Chewbacca, who Poehler derisively refers to as "a giant talking dog."
The guest for this episode was Tina Fey, playing Poelher's cousin Karen. She was ostensibly there to show off her homemade ornaments, but the three focused their conversation much more on her Philadelphia accent, with Rudolph saying that she talked "like a beautiful fairy."
When the two pressed Fey for some good news coming out of Philly to counteract all the bad news from the year, she offered up a gem.
"The other day, a serial killer killed another serial killer in front of the Liberty Bell, so, you know, that's two less serial killers," she said. "In Philly, we call that a Christmas miracle."
