Emoji Burger, 80-07 37th Ave., Jackson Heights

Open Since: Dec. 19
Type of Cuisine: Burgers
The grass-fed beef from Pat LaFrieda is the star at Emoji Burger, a new burger joint opened last week from the owners of a nearby health food store. The neighborhood could use a place to get a good burger, owner Jarvis Fernandez said, so he set out to create a menu where you know what you’re eating, he said. There’s also a variety of hand-cut fries, hot dogs, skewers and milkshakes.
