10 Subway Lines Slated for Service Disruptions This Weekend, MTA Says

NEW YORK CITY — Ten subway lines are slated for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues capital construction work, the agency said.

The 3, 4, 6, A, C, D, F, L, N and R trains will all be affected.

3 Train: Until the end of the month, 3 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. 

For service to and from Rockaway Avenue, use shuttle buses to and from the Saratoga Avenue station. 

For service to and from Van Siclen Avenue, use shuttle buses to and from Pennsylvania Avenue station at all times. 

4 Train: Until the new year, 4 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions.

From 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday, 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday, and 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, 4 train service operates in two sections: between Woodlawn and 125th Street and between 125th Street and New Lots Avenue. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Crown Heights-Utica Avenue-bound 4 trains run express from 125th Street to Grand Central-42nd Street. 

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to Monday, Woodlawn-bound 4 trains run local from Grand Central-42nd Street to 125th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Woodlawn-bound 4 trains skip 138th Street-Grand Concourse.

6 Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall-bound 6 trains run express from 125th Street to Grand Central-42 St. 

A Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, to 5 a.m. Monday, Inwood-207th Street-bound A trains run express from Canal Street to 145th Street. 

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, 168th Street-bound C trains run express from Canal Street to 145th Street. 

D Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Norwood-205th Street-bound D trains will be rerouted along the C line from West 4th Street-Washington Square to 145th Street. 

F Train: Until next year, Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains will skip Avenue X.

For service to Avenue X, take the Jamaica-bound F train to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train. 

For service from Avenue X, take a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, F trains are suspended in both directions between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Kings Highway.

From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, additional F train service will be provided between Jamaica-179th Street and 2nd Avenue. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains will skip 169th Street. 

L Train: Until winter 2016, L trains will skip Atlantic Avenue in both directions. For service to and from Atlantic Avenue, use free shuttle buses to and from Broadway Junction.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, L trains are suspended in both directions between Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues. 

Free local shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Rockaway Parkway and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and will stop at East 105th Street, New Lots Avenue, Livonia Avenue, Sutter Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, Broadway Junction, Bushwick Avenue, Wilson Avenue and Halsey Street.

Free express shuttle buses will only serve Rockaway Parkway, Broadway Junction and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues.

N Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Astoria-bound N trains will be rerouted along the Q line from Dekalb Avenue to Canal Street. 

R Train: From 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 71st Avenue-bound R trains will be rerouted along the Q line from DeKalb Avenue to Canal Street.
