Friday, Dec. 18

► Hip Hop: Freestyle Graffiti Art with Chief 69

Where: Queens Library, Central Branch, 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica
When: 4 to 5 p.m.

Chief 69, a South Bronx-based b-boy, emcee and graffiti artist, presents a freestyle demonstration of his graffiti art. During the free event, Chief 69 will create his latest piece of artwork live at the Queens Central Library. Space is limited with 50 openings. To register, call 718-990 0778.

► Christmas Carols at Gottscheer Hall

Where: Gottscheer Hall, 657 Fairview Ave., Ridgewood
When: 9 p.m.

Pianist Alex Tween will be on the keys and you’ll get the chance to sing along to your favorite holiday tunes at this annual caroling sing-a-long. Grab some German food and a stein of beer and get in the holiday spirit.

► Star Wars Party

Where: Lockwood, 32-15 33rd St., Astoria 
When: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Astoria boutique Lockwood will celebrate the long-awaited release of “The Force Awakens” with a day of discounts and treats. Shoppers who discover one of the Stormtrooper or Darth Vader badges hidden around the store will get 15 percent off, and anyone who comes wearing “Star Wars” swag will get 20 percent off. There will also be treats and surprises.

Saturday, Dec. 18

► Winter Craft Market

Where: Jamaica Market, 90-40 160th St. at Jamaica Avenue, Jamaica
When: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If you are still looking for some unique Christmas gifts, here’s your last chance to shop at this indoor winter craft market, which showcases local artists, crafters and artisanal food products. The bazaar is organized by the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation in partnership with the Queens International Night Market. For more information, visit the GJDC's website. 

 Jackson Heights Holiday Caroling

Where: Meet at Cassidy’s Ale House, 75-02 31st Ave., East Elmhurst
When: 7 to 10 p.m.

Join in on the 7th annual holiday sing-a-long that will take you through Jackson Heights and East Elmhurst. Bring a flashlight or candle for everyone in your group, dress up in holiday clothing and get ready to sing songs from all denominations, in many languages, throughout the neighborhood. Kids and school groups are welcome, but everyone under 16 should have an adult with them.

► Star Searchers: Exploring the Night Sky

Where: Alley Pond Environmental Center, 228-06 Northern Blvd., Douglaston
When: 7 to 9 p.m.

Astronomer Mark Freilich hosts a night of sky observation using a professional telescope. The Orion constellation is the highlight. The program features an indoor question and answer session on basic astronomy, games and outdoor viewing using a professional telescope. This is an adult workshop but children ages 9 and up are also welcome. Tickets are $15. To register, go here. 

► “Chinatown” Screening

Where: Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria  
When: 4 p.m.

Watch this 1974 classic, which stars Jack Nicholson as a Los Angeles private eye. The screening is part of the museum’s current exhibit, "Walkers: Hollywood Afterlives in Art and Artifact.” Tickets are $12 and include admission to the museum.

Sunday, Dec. 20

► Christmas Caroling in Astoria

Where: Astoria Heights Playground, meet at entrance on 45th Street and 30th Road
When: 4 p.m.

Join the Friends of Astoria Heights Park for an afternoon of caroling through the neighborhood. Song sheets will be provided, but the event is BOYB: Bring your own bells.

► Celebrate the Holidays with the Queens Symphony 

Where: Flushing Town Hall, 137-35 Northern Blvd., Flushing
When: 3 p.m.

Members of The Queens Symphony Orchestra have formed into an intimate group to play traditional holiday music just before Christmas. Suggested donation is $5.
